Well I just enjoyed meeting, getting to know and helping this couple so so much. Rebecca and John are just amazing together and each great fun people on their own.
Although it seemed every time I met Rebecca we ended up laughing our heads off at something. Whether she was exhausted from her flight from Boston or on one of our many phone calls. There were always lots of giggles.
Their meeting was pretty classic. He is Irish and they met when she was here in Ireland on vacation and a few days turned into John moving to America and the two sharing into a lifetime together.
With supportive wonderful families and lots of love they planned their beautiful Secret Garden destination wedding {with a little help from me} at Castle Durrow in Co Laois.
The wedding was in September and just HAD to be outside in the elaborate gardens and although the day looked cloudy, there was no rain forecast so we went for it! A peaceful, beautiful outdoor wedding in the garden!
Have a look at the day as Shane O’Neill from Aspect Photography saw it unfold.
The outdoor ceremony location was surrounded by tall hedges hidden with in Castle Durrow’s lush gardens and there were lots of signs to lead guests to find it. we had the ceremony laid out so they were not only surrounded by the greenery but by their families and friends with wildflowers in the centre.
Rebecca’s shoes were fabulous and I’ll tell you know, she was very lucky here feet were smaller than mine or they just might have gone missing somehow…………
A full brass New Orlean’s style jazz band entertained the guests while photos were being taken and when it came time for dinner they lead the parade in music.
I have no doubt the love and laughter will continue for these two for the rest of their lives and personally, I can’t wait to meet up with them again!
Thanks to Marie and everyone at Castle Durrow, Shane for the photos and The Informal Florist for adding even more beauty.
